The Daily Neopets takesover the Neopets keyword
After working on The daily neopets with the owner, Ian; we’ve managed to bring TDN to the top on google for the keyword “neopets”, we now rank #5 and the only sites that beat us now is Wikipedia and the main neopets site. Of course, this is a great accomplishment for us since the competition is very large and they’re a ton of different neopets fansites out there trying to rank for the neopets keyword.
So, how did we do it? Well, it’s simple; we changed up the title tag on our index, optimized it, and placed the keyword neopets in various sections, and also; built quality backlinks to help us rank. Our main link anchor isn’t “neopets”, but we try to use different keywords when we link exchange with related fansites, so we switch it up, and use link anchors like “neopets cheats”, “neopets help”, “neopets dailies”, and other keywords that have neopets in the keyword.
Don’t rely on one keyword to build links because you might be get sandboxed, you need to switch it up, so if you want to rank for the top keyword in your niche, then make sure to use various keywords.
