Neopets gets hit by a major virus

Coming to you live from the Neolodge News Place, we’re bringing you coverage of what could be the biggest problem on Neopets of the year. A possible virus coming from an ad has been detected.

Thank you JellyNeo for this alert, and now we go to Colin, for some screenies of this happening.

This is one of the things that pops up while your surfing Neopets. If you see this, please hit Cancel. If you don’t, this next image will show up…

No longer being able to press Cancel, you either have to press okay, or turn off your computer I *think*. I have a Mac, so I pressed ok, to see what comes next.

Press to See Picture
Here it’s “scanning” your computer. Do your best to get away from this, and not click anything.

If it proceeds after clicking Ignore or Remove All, this will download. It’s assumed that this is a virus, so don’t do anything with it if you like your computer.

So to be safe, just stay away from Neopets right now until the Neopets Company gets this fixed up. Here is our guide on blocking Neopets ads.

This has been NL News: Virus Alert.
