Subeta fails to monetize

Filed under: Subeta — admin @ 5:07 am

Has anyone else noticed how Subeta fails to take advantage of the amount of users online and traffic that they receive? I do, and since Subeta is so popular - it should be generating a lot more money than it is. It’s sole revenue source is their gold accounts, but what if the users stop donating for whatever reason? How would Subeta manage to pay its bills and keep a wonderful site running? Well, we believe Subeta fails to generate more income from its users - they have enough traffic to implement google adsense, valueclick or various other advertising companies.

Subeta fails to re-invest as well; Keith isn’t an investor. Subeta could be a lot larger than it is today if it launched a huge adwords campaign, adbrite, and text-link ads. Not only is Subeta banned from google; it’s losing out on a lot of traffic from the search engines. We believe Subeta got google banned after the longcat issue - and when the domains started to redirect. Subeta’s index currently says that they’ve receive 200 new members in the last 24 hours - but shouldn’t Subeta have a lot more new users than that? We believe so too, however; Subeta lacks promotion, but if Keith decided to launch an advertising campaign for Subeta, we believe his revenue could shoot through the roof.

We have a few tips for Subeta and they are:
-Why don’t you guys put up google adsense and try to generate more income from other sources instead of just from gold accounts? Users can always donate to the game, but you guys should try to generate more revenue, so you can re-invest and become a larger pet site.
-Why don’t you stop buying real life goods for yourself and focus on the game aspect? Re-invest buddy and try to take Subeta to the top.

Also; did you guys notice that Subeta was created in 2004 and currently boosts a member base over 177,188 users? Shouldn’t Subeta have a lot more users for being opened for 3 years and were there a ton of account purgers that we don’t know about? Subeta can grow a lot larger than it’s currently growing, and we believe; if Keith really wanted to he can make Subeta even larger.

What do you guys think? Does Subeta have the potential to beat sites like Marapets?

  1. Yeah, I agree. Subeta needs to start getting more revenue through advertisements so, at the very least, they can introuduce more full-time paid staff to work with the website, particular coders and artists who could maintain the site and make it more “immersive” like the other virtual pet websites, as it is a good website, but it isn’t very attractive. It’s a bit too plain. Yeah, I think their main problem is not getting any new users - however, they seem to be able to keep older members continually interested in the site.

  2. Subeta does have that potential, but one of Keith’s greatest prides is that he has never personally advertised Subeta - he owes the success to word of mouth and user refferals. He told me that himself - and I think that’s part of Subeta’s appeal.

  3. Great response, Brenton, but let’s look at the bigger picture - what if Keith actually advertised Subeta?
